Given the heightened security posture at NAS Pensacola, specific attention is required to ensure on-base access for AOCS Reunion members. It is highly recommended that you go through the Main Gate as the West (back) gate closes at 1800, also if there are any issues gaining access through the West Gate you will have to drive 20 minutes back to the main gate to resolve them. The following restriction will apply to visitors during public access: Visitors are not allowed to bring weapons, backpacks, coolers, alcoholic beverages, drones, persons with felony convictions are not authorized base access onboard NAS Pensacola according to the Navy Region Southeast. There are three categories as follows:
1. Active Duty ID card holders, Retired Military ID card holders, Common Access Card (CAC) holders. These members have unfettered access to the base and will be allowed to enter at any open gate at any time by showing their military or CAC cards. These members may also sponsor up to 15 other guests, but they MUST be all riding in the same vehicle
2. VA Disability ID card. VA disability card holders have access to the base, but they DO NOT have escort authority. Here is the disclaimer for the VA card, it must state that the individual is SERVICE CONNECTED under the photo on the card. If it does NOT, then you will need to fill out a SECNAV 5512 form to be placed on the base access list.
3. All Other Members. Any member who does not have the above-mentioned must complete, sign, and submit the following SECNAV 5512 form. In the Sponsor block (block 24) of the SECNAV 5512 form place Capt Sterling Gilliam, USN (RET), (850) 452-2319. Once the form is complete and signed, please scan and email to [email protected] !!!!!PLEASE SUBMIT FORM IN PDF FORMAT!!!!! to be placed on the base access list. Please pay close attention to the instructions on page three of the instruction specifically the area of what documents you need to reference in the completion of block 13 on page 1 of the form. This information needs to be received by us by NLT September 19th, 2025. If you are on the fence on whether you plan on attending the reunion or not , please submit the 5512 form anyway so that there is not a last-minute scramble if you decide you can make it.
Access through the gate
If you are in categories 1 or 2 above, you will be waved through at the gate after you present the respective ID. For category 3, you must present a REAL ID or two other means if identification (non-Real ID, Passport, Social Security Card, birth certificate, etc.), the gate guard will bounce all names off of the base access list so please make sure everyone in the vehicle has submitted a SECNAV 5512 form and has the appropriate ID with them.
